COMMENTS ON THE PODCAST

Thanks, Cde Lennox for sharing this great piece of an incredible interview by cde City. I want to agree with him on all the issues he raised. But more importantly what he is raising about the call for consultative conference by 101 veterans of our movement.

As I was listening to cde City, I was almost in tears as I recall how our veterans were ridiculed in the NEC of the ANC on this matter. That was one of the most shameful meetings I have attended in my life in the movement.

Sis Baleka was the chairperson, and she had a difficult time to manage the meeting. There was this powerful group of individuals within the NEC who had no intention whatsoever of allowing the ANC to renew itself and recover from the lost ground.

Some of us who were supporting the call for consultative conference were called names and ridiculed too.  Had we listened to voices of our people including our veterans then, perhaps we would not have been where we are today.

But we don’t lose hope as revolutionaries, we continue playing our role in our little corners even though it might be too late to rescue the little of what is remaining of our movement. The ANC is its own enemy and there is no possibility of renewal under the current system in the movement. That’s my opinion.

But thanks, cde City for reminding us of where we come from with the history of Radio Freedom.

Ms. Dipuo

Maybe you could ask for a podcast from them.

City also dealt with present day issues in the country.

I found it illuminating.
