The 27th of October is an important date in the calendar of the National Liberation Struggle in SOUTH AFRICA as it also marks the birthday of Oliver Tambo who was born on this day in 1917. Oliver Reginald Kaizana Tambo (27 October 1917 – 24 April 1993) was a leader of the ANC who served as President of the ORANISATION from 1967 to 1991.
Slightly over two weeks ago on the 11t of OCTOBER 2025 THABO MBEKI FOUNDATION (TMF) marked another milestone by celebrating the 15th Anniversary of its existence.
